Free collection of used cooking oil in the Southampton area

We offer a friendly and reliable collection service from commercial or domestic premises. Normally our clients put their used cooking oil back into the containers it came in, but we can provide free barrels if required. Any amount of used cooking oil can be collected, even small quantities - it all counts.

We can collect weekly, fortnightly or monthly, or you can just give us a ring or email when you're ready. We're local, and always available.

Ours is a non-profit making organisation that has supported local recycling since 2008. The vehicle used for collections is fuelled by biodiesel made from previous collections.

In accordance with Environment Agency guidelines, a Waste Transfer Note will be provided so that you can prove your Duty Of Care and that the waste vegetable oil has been correctly disposed of.

See here for an example. If you are a commercial entity, you are required by the Environment Agency to keep a copy for two years.

In the case of a regular collection, we issue a "season ticket" (one note covering several collections) which reduces the amount of paperwork required.

What do we do with it?

We have a custom built processing plant which is used to chemically convert the oil into biodiesel for our own use.
